Foundation 55 is a 501c3 organization dedicated to encouraging and supporting foster families and the children in care. Our goal is to assure children and families that opportunities are available by providing sponsorship for extracurricular activities for a child in foster care. From football to swimming lessons, we hope to maximize memories one child at a time.
When our son came into our care, he was 10 years old. His mother had just passed away and he was looking to us with fear in his eyes and a sense of deep loss. We watched him struggle with anger and a lack of healthy coping skills. It wasn't until our son found football that we started seeing a change in him. Football enhanced his self-esteem and gave him drive like we had never seen. It was truly his calling and his passion. When our son passed away in 2018, we have made it our mission to create Foundation 55 in his honor. Our family knows, firsthand, how chaotic and stressful it can be when you have an instant family. Our goal is to assure children and families that opportunities are available by providing sponsorship for extracurricular activities for a child. It is our hope that each child finds their passion.
